Compared to conventional carbon-based filters, Swift Green Filters are environmentally friendly. Conventional carbon filters are produced by a burning process called open pit charring, which releases pollution and greenhouse gas emissions into the air. Green Filters components are produced with a new technology that carbonizes dried coconut shells in an enclosed self-sustaining system, while capturing and converting the emissions into useful thermal energy. Less emissions mean a cleaner world.
This Swift Green Filter is a suitable fridge filter cartridge for use in GE refrigerators with a round white plastic filter, typically mounted inside the refrigerator at the rear of the compartment above the top shelf. The MWF Filter replaces these older filter part numbers: GE SmartWater GWF, GWFA, GWF01, GWF06, MWFA. MWF-2, EFF-6013A, WSG-1, and Puretec Model Number R10. Refrigerator manufacturers recommend that fridge water filters be replaced every 6 months or when the "change filter" light comes on.
